Grassroots Prop-art for Social-move

Trough creative artistic methods learn to propagate and spread around your own ideas.

Dear friends!

Our nongovernmental organisation ACHO wants to prepare 8 day training course from the 1st to the 8th of June 2013.

ACHO is an NGO which helps people to use their leisure-time actively through art, dance and crafts. It organizes courses, (holiday) workshops, (summer) camps, festivals, presentations, seminars, and many other things. The target group is youth, but adults are welcomed as well.

The training will take place in the Dancing Cottage in a village called Miloslavov situated in the south-western part of Slovakia, close to the capital of Slovakia - Bratislava. The environment of this rural place and the urban area near by is going provide an excellent opportunity to prepare the project called:

GPS – Grassroots Prop-art for Social-move

By using creative artistic methods we will explore possibilities to spread own ideas such are:

-          Social action

-          Rural development

-          Saving environment

-          Matters you are interested in.

The main theme of our project is ´media and communications/youth information´ and ´urban/rural development, so how to successfully spread information for the rural and urban social development – creatively and artistically. How to propagate an action from below for the social matters throughout artistic methods, so that it leaves visible footprint – that is the question we propose to answer. Plus we will make the effort to create eco-friendly community. Inseparable parts of the project will be also visits, cooperation, and working with other governmental and non-governmental entities in small villages of West Slovak region and Bratislava and also presentation – and its propagation - of the project outcomes and activities for the local community. We aim to work all together during the project and, as an outcome, not only the performance, but also get a bundle of exercises, methods, and tools to use in work with young people, for young people, or for local community.
